Attitude: Who's In Charge Here?

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that humans beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude of mind."

William James
Psychologist

This may not seem like much at first but it is game changing.

You cannot easily, if at all, change your personal or professional circumstances until you first adapt the right attitude.

And please note that "right" does not necessarily mean "good", "nice", etc.
What is "right" depends on what you want and need to do.

When you look at your outlook what do you see?

  1. This is good.

There is much we cannot change but our attitude isn't one of them.

I suggest that if you don't like the way things are, change them but before you try to do that, start by critically looking at yourself.

  2. I believe this was in a previous post or possibly a comment to one but in any event, it's worth repeating.

If you can't manage yourself you can't manage others.

  3. In the work we have been doing it is declaring new futures and having the integrity to see them through that truly alters one's perspective. This is not about personalities, or doing things "right" since as the post suggests there are truly no "rights", it is about declaring a new future and staying true toward achieving it.
