New Thinking: Inventing the Future

"Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary."

Sir Cecil Beaton
English Academy Award winning stage and costume designer

It has to be a lot easier to be daring and different in entertainment than in business but the principle is the same. If you do things just like everyone else, what's the point of you?

I'm convinced we live in a time that will not only reward new thinking, new ways, but will demand them as well.

What do you think?

  1. Left brain says "Easy does it", right brain says "Let's do IT!

    Which to follow??

  2. A little out of order but I just read the most current post and feel it applies here as well. "Daring" certainly suggests taking risk does it not?

One of the benefits of having nothing to lose is you have nothing to lose. You can take a chance and possibly win big. Those without a positive status quo don't spend as much time trying to protect it as those who do.
