At the very least, another take on the importance of attitude but there is more to it than that.
We revere athletes who attempt to break seemingly unbreakable records regardless of whether or not they succeed. How different is it then to do the same for people who approach everything as though it was a record that could be broken, including attempting to make bad situations better?
You'll never hit the target if you never take a shot and you'll probably never take a shot if you assume there's little chance you'll hit the target.
Circular logic that needs to be broken.

When things go well it's easy to have a positive outlook. It's during tough times that it becomes more difficult as well as important.
ReplyDeleteI would sooner work with someone whose attitude and approach is positive than I would someone who only sees the negative side of things. And while true in good times that is essential in difficult economies such as we face now.
Real, honest optimism is valuable. The blowing smoke kind is not.

Sometimes in the beginning it's hard to tell which is which but not for long.
Sometimes we don't make the attempt if we think we can't "fix" the problem. But even if we can't fix it, we might make it better - which is better than where we started.
