As one whose company sold millions of dollars worth of market research, I can say without hesitation this is absolutely correct.
So little of business knowledge ever gets acted upon and that which doesn't has zero value to anyone.

ReplyDeleteI naively went along thinking all those presentations of data my clients bought from Verity was actually doing some good. It was only much later that I realized far too few were using much if any of the information they bought from vendors, including Verity.
ReplyDeleteWhich is, in part, why I now focus on planning and change initiatives. If a client needs information, I can help them get it, but I'd rather help them focus on what they'll do with it rather than getting it for them.
