Of course one can adapt by simply imitating; that happens every day in companies all over the world.
But effective adaptation comes from the right combination of resisting what needs to change while assimilating what should not.
How are you and your company at doing that?
The difficult part is knowing when you are "adapting" or assimilating the good ideas of others, versus reacting to pressure. How do you tell the difference between the two?
