Actually all forms of communication should have the primary goal of creating more communication, which ideally would come as the result of more thinking.

  1. The phrase "we discussed that" is dangerous when it means no more discussion necessary. Better to add "and" as in we discussed that and . . . referring to what will now happen as a result of the discussion.

  3. I agree with both of you but the trick is to listen to what others have to say and unfortunately many don't do that as well as they could.
