Change: How Do You Deal With It?

"Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because it means things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."

King Whitney Jr.

I like this a lot.

Most agree that change is inevitable so the only question is, how will we deal with it? I admit that at various times my reaction has been each of the above but overall, I am more often the latter.

How about you?

  1. I like it too Bill.

When you get down to it, how one handles change is at the core of their ability to manage.

Get it right, you will succeed and if you don't, you'd better find something else to do.

  2. At least you admit you sometimes fear change. Few will do even that professing how open and "cutting edge" they are.

We change. Every single day we wake up we are different from the day before. You cannot prevent that from happening anymore than you can prevent the tide from coming in.

Don't fear it, resist it. Deal with it!
