Management: Be What You Want Those Who Follow You To Be

"A man who lives right, and is right, has more power in his silence than another has by his words."

Phillips Brooks
19th century American Clergy/Author

Leading by example.

It's more than words on a chart.

  1. It's funny but I don't think people associate "lead by example" with business as much as they do in personal relations.

  2. You may be right Silvia. Certainly parents are told they need to set good examples, but like you, I can't recall many instances where someone said a business manager should.

What do you think, should they be encouraged to do so?

  3. I think managers should be encouraged to lead by example but as we now know, that example will not always be good.
