Of course he was talking about politics but there is corollary in business.
Resist active change (peaceful revolution) and you hasten the demise of the business (violent revolution.)

I would bet that a third or more of businesses now hunkered down, waiting for the economy to improve, are expecting to come back to the way things were.

Ken is right but the question is, how do we know what to become?
ReplyDeleteOversimplifying, focus on defining who you are and what message you want to send to those you think will be interested in your product or service.
ReplyDeleteOnce you have that you can move on to critical details such as how you will get that message out.
Don't worry about being different for the sake of being different. Concentrate on defining your target audience and message. But once you know what that is, make sure you are open to what might be a radical departure from the past.
