Tearing Down the Wall: Now What?

"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with stormy difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew."

Abraham Lincoln

Translation: We have problems and the old ways will not solve them.

Could be Abe was talking about today don't you think?

So what about you? Same old ways or getting ready for a new future?

  1. I'm afraid that in our case, it's just more of the same and if we know anything, we know that didn't work. Dead man walking.

You know which industry I'm talking about.

  2. Not everyone and everything evolves. Just as species become extinct, so too do companies.

But by the same token, adversity gives those capable of evolving, a chance to demonstrate why they should exist.

Just about every industry we want and need will survive, but not all the companies and individuals currently in them.

It's called survival of the fittest for a reason.

  3. I think the real message is, while it's fine to criticize, it is much more important to solve problems rather than just identify them, or worse, to simply complain.
