ReplyDeleteI once worked for a boss who required all key managers to come to his weekly review meetings prepared to tell a joke. He didn't ask everyone to tell theirs but you had to be ready and never knew when it would be your turn.
ReplyDeleteSome of them were pretty good, most not but they worked wonders in our meetings. The best ones were the bad ones and our good natured tearing into the joke teller, broke down barriers between us that would have prevented us from making progress.
Hey, I know the guy in the picture but he's not smiling anymore. He just got laid off.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 2, I like your ex boss use of jokes in meetings and can easily see how that could be used to accomplish a number of things.
