Give No Quarter!

"Surely the best way to meet the enemy is head on, in the field, and not wait until they plunder our homes."

Oliver Goldsmith
18th century Irish writer

You compete but have you ever really thought about what that means?

Do you react to your competitor or do they react to you?

Who's meeting who head on?

  1. You've got me wondering if we act or react. Most of what we talk about is what we're doing but it now occurs to me that we don't say much about why we're doing it, which, I believe, would tell us whether we were reacting or being proactive.

  2. A good test is to ask yourself, "Did we initiate this or did they?" You can be proactive even if the other side is the impetus for action, but you should know in any event.
