It is the missing ingredient. You are called a "manager" because you manage other things and people. If it were about doing you would be called a "doer".
ReplyDeleteSo often people criticize mangers who appear to try to do things differently. When their success can no longer be denied, they become genius.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs is a good example. Boy wonder the first half dozen or so years at Apple, then just another tech geek until his "resurrection" in the last 10 years.
