True but the hard part is knowing when to quit, knowing when just a little more time, money and effort will result in success. How do you decide which is the best course of action? At what point does the decision itself just become a roll of the dice?

Management: Knowing when to leave the table, but also when to stay and push for one more nugget, one more idea, one more concession, one more compromise.......
ReplyDeleteAnd it's doing the "knowing when" part well that is tough. Looking back my best decisions were those based on a lot of input from others; my not so good ones came with less.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you have to get up from the table and ask someone who's been there before. We aren't all dealing with revolutionary ideas which means someone out there has been where you are before and you just have to find them.
ReplyDeleteJennifer's recommendation (find someone who's been where you're going) should be the first thing managers do when confronted with a new challenge. I think that's the point of this blog isn't it??
