WHAT'S IN IT FOR THEM?

"It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest."

Averages Are Made Up Of Differences

"The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal."

Aristotle
3rd century BC Greek philosopher

The Same Only Different

"If you would marry suitably, marry your equal."

Ovid
1st century BC Roman poet

Good advice in business mergers as well as in marriage?

I would say so.

But understand that equality is different than "same".

In both marriage and business mergers, equality in differences is a good and preferable thing.

Employee Respect

"The defect of equality is that we only desire it with our superiors."

Henry Becque
19th century French dramatist

Most of us report to someone with some having others report to us.

If both apply to you, are you as anxious for equality with one as the other?
