Ready! Fire! Aim?

"Success comes to the person who does today what you were thinking about doing tomorrow."

Similarly, General Patton is quoted as saying that a good plan implemented today is better than a perfect plan implemented tomorrow.

But all that is relative; the trick is to make sure that you have a "good" plan and are not simply acting.

How do you do that?

  1. My board is the "safety net" for our management decisions. Very little gets done which they do not approve. If they question what we plan to do, we go back to see where we may be wrong. Often we either find error or find something we had neglected to tell them which causes them to change their mind.
