There's got to be more having to do with debate, discussion, etc.
I'm not saying you always resist but if you never pause to think, sometimes resulting in directional change, what contribution are you making?

You're right, you need a mix of give and take.

Don't start from the position of "I'm right, you're not." Instead come at it thinking, "Together we'll find the best solution."
