"It is a great advantage for a philosophy to be substantially true."
George Santayana
Late 19th/early 20th century American philosopher
Do you hear the sarcasm in this quote?
Mr. Santayana is telling us that any philosophy not based in truth is destined to fail.
Least you think otherwise, this includes management philosophy as well.
Is management philosophy the same as management style? If so how does "truth" come into play with a style?
ReplyDeleteI think this generation's bacth of employees are more like students; they react well to positive reinforcement, not necesarily self-motivation.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that they are the same Franklin but rather than parse the differences, I would just go with the requirment that "truth" be the basis for both.
