What Might Have Been But For Regrets and Fear

"Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves--regret for the past and fear for the future."

Fulton Oursler
First half 20th century American playwright
No man's land.

How much might you have accomplished were it not for being in one of these two places, and likely, on occasion, in both at once?

  2. I suppose so but that's always seemed like an over simplifcation of what it takes to deal with regret and fear, the latter in particular.

There have been many challenges in my life that later did not seem all that difficult to deal with, but at the time they were.

Which is why maybe the best advice I ever gave my boys was telling them to do their best to conquer their fears rather than allowing the reverse to happen.
