When You Look Over Your Shoulder, What Do You See?

"Clear conscience never fears midnight knocking."

Chinese proverb

Have you ever "cut corners" not to mention knowingly done things you knew were wrong, possibly illegal, in your business dealings?

Let me go first; I have.

If you felt bad for having done so (I did) you know what this is about.

It's just not worth it.

  1. "Cutting corners" will mean one thing to many, something very different to many others.

Like your other posts regarding ethics, is there any middle ground as to what is and is not ethical?

  2. I think for many it is mostly "middle ground".

What I think is "ethical" may not be to someone else with the reverse being true as well (just look at the rule of law as we see it versus China's view.)

I have no answers for this, only a suggestion that we should think about what we do before we do it.
