Time's Up!

"Until we can manage time, we can manage nothing else."

Peter Drucker
20th century American business consultant, author, educator

As a board member of a mid sized company, I was asked to attend a management meeting the other day to discuss their approach to time management.

It seems they feel they have a problem managing their time.

The meeting lasted 2 hours.

Does anyone else see a problem with this?

  1. what did they want/expect from a board member? this sounds like a straightforward management issue.

  2. It is Paul but they wanted myself and one other board member to listen in to, in their words, keep the discussion honest.

  3. did you keep it honest?

  4. There wasn't time so we settled for insuring minimal uselessness (catch the irony??)

  5. I process and have had 4 hours of status calls and a 2 hour training and it's only Tues Night. Be nice if I had time to actually process at work!
