Like so much else in management, it comes down to a judgment call. Get it right more often than not and you are a good manager. Get it wrong and your gone.
ReplyDeleteLike many quotes this transfers what applies to non human things to people and that does not work.
ReplyDeleteHowever, as is true with so many quotes that use analogy, the underlying message is still, in my opinion, valid.
