In fact much work occurs without results, or at least not the hoped for result.

How about you, any estimates of how much effort you expend without getting the desired result?

    i don't even want to think about it.

    i've risen in my company, partly by working harder than others, or at least i think so, but i don't seem to have many accomplishments to show that i have.

    Maybe you do more than you know.

    Accomplishments come in many forms and include components of goals that are much more than what any one person does.
