ReplyDeleteI think much the same thing could be said about many company policy manuals.
ReplyDeleteCYA is shorthand for "cover your ass", meaning, do and and say things so you don't look bad, which may not be what's really best for the company.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about company policy manuals, but I think you're right Michael. If companies acted as their policy says they will, they would appear a whole lot different than most do.
