Wanting To Achieve Is Not Enough

"Zeal without knowledge is fire without light."

Thomas Fuller
17th century British author

Most children have a lot of energy and enthusiasm but sometimes, without thought, direction and planning, that does not translate into achievement.

Fun maybe but not achievement.

When it comes to business, it would be nice to have fun but regardless it is essential that we achieve.

  1. In the end it's all about the money.

  2. Not sure if you're saying that's a bad thing but if there is no "money" (profit) there also are no jobs, charity, community good, etc.

I realize to many of you that sounds very cold, like "big business" is only concerned about money. In fact for many companies and business people that is true. But not all.

First and foremost, if there is no profit, there is no company who at least has a chance of doing something good other than simply attempt to make money.
