Funny you will retire in 15 months, which is how long ago I left my company and when I did, like you I couldn't wait to go. All I saw was golf and travel with my wife but after a lot of both, about 6 months worth, I found it no longer was as much fun as I thought it would be (my wife agrees.)
Now I work part time and the balance between that and my leisure makes it all fun again.
Let us know what you think a few months after you do quit working.
