WHAT IT IS, NOT WHOSE FAULT IT IS

"It is wise to direct your anger towards problems - not people; to focus your energies on answers - not excuses."

William Arthur Ward, 20th century American writer.

While easy to get angry with the person(s) you believe caused the problem, that's just a distraction.

Identify the issue(s) that need correction and move on to the solution.

If that involves people, so be it, but don't start with that or end with assigning blame.

That's not a solution.

FEAR BEING AFRAID

"Excessive fear is always powerless."

Aeschylus, 5th century BC Greek tragedian

Fear can protect assuming what we fear warranted being afraid of in the first place.

Often that isn't the case.

Don't deny or give into what you fear.

Create your plan to eliminate the threat and more often than not you will.

And yet in business we all too often pursue legal remedy to what could be settled by simple conversation and negotiation.

Conflict Resolution: My Way!

"Many are stubborn in the path they have chosen, few in the pursuit of the goal."

Friedrich Nietzsche
Philosopher

It is easy to become more focused on one's own opinion rather than achievement of the group's goal. And this becomes even more so when there is a personality conflict between individuals.

If you don't like someone you probably won't want to do what they think is right.

Do you look for this in those you manage? If you do what if anything do you do when you see it happening?
