If Not Positive, What Then?

I am also naturally an optimist and probably like this as a result.  But I also think it is generally true.

    Hmmm, is being an optimist a good thing?

    I suppose so because being unduly pessimistic can result in inaction. But after two and a half years of unemployment, I have to work at it.

    Maybe the true test of an optimist is, can they stay optimistic when they reach what they consider to be the end of their rope? That comes sooner for some, later for others, and can vary by circumstance. I know some who weathered serious personal tragedies such as illness or family deaths, much better than they have job loss.

    No one size fits all about it.
