If what you want to accomplish is truly the right thing, why not listen to suggestions to the contrary?
Being a manager does not mean one is always right; there are often many more ways than one to accomplish goals.

Besides there being many more ways than one, the alternative you find when you listen may be much better than your own idea.

I'll be honest, I don't like to accept suggestions from others because it would make me look like I don't know what I'm doing. do others feel that way too?

ReplyDeleteWhile some may think you weak for listening, far, far more will see that as a strength. And, as Bill suggests, people will criticize you if you don't.
