Which is to say, discipline, regardless of your business, must be present if you are to succeed.
I agree but is it possible that discipline will vary depending on the industry? In fact must vary to reflect important differences between businesses?

If, for example, you mean is the discipline necessary in a clothing business, hospital, military unit different to each other, the answer is yes.
ReplyDeleteI agree but is that so in an orderly, predictable way and how does a manager, regardless of industry, know what role discipline should play in their business model as well as how to insure it is there?
ReplyDeleteAnd BTW, when I talk about discipline, I don't mean correcting behavior. I'm talking about the level and type of discipline necessary for the business culture to prosper. The discipline necessary to get things done on time, at or under budget.
