That's the wonderful thing about these quotes Edmund; there is no one correct meaning for any of it.
While you cited "nearest" you could as well have said that Fuller also did not define what he meant by "relation" either. I implied family by mentioning "blood" because I was thinking about whether it is better to be in business with family versus a friend, but it doesn't have to be limited to that.
And just for the record, I don't think "most trusted" when I think of "nearest".
Literally, "nearest" does not imply most trusted, which is what I think you think it means.

ReplyDeletei think non family. i can always get new friends but i'm stuck with family so its better not to have to work with them
