YOU'LL LEARN; ONE WAY OR THE OTHER YOU WILL LEARN

"The wise are instructed by reason, average minds by experience, the stupid by necessity and the brute by instinct."

Marcus Tulius Cicero (106-43 BC) Writer, politician and great roman orator.

And some of the wise occasionally learn by necessity because they stupidly failed to learn using their wisdom.

We all learn, the question is, how?

IF NOT, MAYBE NOT

"Necessity knows no law except to conquer."

Publilius Syrus (1st Century BC-?) Roman writer/poet.

So, if you need to there's a better chance you will.

PITY THE UNSATIATED

"We never reflect how pleasant it is to ask for nothing."

Seneca (4 BC-65) Roman philosopher/playwright

What if you could never be full, get enough sleep, have enough money, enjoy those you live and work with, or any number of other things you can name?

Simply never be satisfied.

How unhappy you would be.

I MUST HAVE . . .

"Nothing has more strength than dire necessity."

Euripides (BC 480-BC 406) Greek tragic poet

Okay, but what is "necessity"?

The next time you find yourself lobbying for "necessary" resources, put yourself in the place of the person who must decide whether or not you will get them.

There's only so much to go around, which is often much less than what is requested.

Maybe you can make do with what you have.
